Personal Statement
I believe that I am an enthusiastic, eager and focused individual; I am self-motivated and have a positive attitude when it comes to working towards my goals and objectives. I feel I am very approachable, therefore making me work well in teams when needed, which I enjoy, but also can work to my own initiative to achieve high. I am an enthusiastic team member. I would really like to increase my Media Industry experience in order for me to have as many transferable skills as possible. I have a keen interest in Journalism, and would like to continue on into this sector of the industry once my studies are over. 

Personal Skills/Attributes

  • Hard working - always complete work to the best of my ability and well before deadlines. 
  • Focused - know what I want to achieve, and almost always know how I want to achieve it.
  • Enthusiastic - always open to trying a new challenge or something out of my comfort zone. 
  • Self-motivated - I motivate myself to complete targets, goals and work, in order for me to achieve high and become successful. 
  • Happy - always determined to start and complete things with a smile.
  • Punctual - I am always on time with deadlines and to attend meetings or events
  • Organised - I know what I am doing well in advance, so when it comes to deadlines I am not panicking. 
  • Team player - work well in teams, as well as individually.
  • Positive - I always look to the positives of situations, rather than dwelling on the negative. 
  • Eager - I am willing to try anything at least once.
  • Good communication skills - I have gained great communication skills after liaising with other students and lecturers, and media industry professionals. Also from working part-time in retail. 
  • Strong Willed - I am always determined to achieve in whatever I do. 
  • Creative - I have experience in writing articles, short stories, scripts, adapting previous works etc..
  • Computer literate - Up to date with using all software on computers.
  • Knowledge of software - Have basic skills in Final Cut, Avid, PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro. 


Interests
  • Writing - creative/informative writing. 
  • Journalism - reading magazines/newspapers, websites
  • Television - watching continuous dramas and interesting documentaries. 
  • Film - going to the cinema, discussing films. 
  • Literature - reading a diverse range of books 
  • New Media - using social media; facebook, twitter, linked in etc. 
  • Music - listening to most genres of music, going to gigs
